3rd October 2011 - CatalySystems, Wilton Redcar, today launches its N1200 range of photocatalytic reactors for industrial wastewater decontamination and reuse. The N1200 range offers a modular system for the destruction of organics. Each module capable of handling flow rates from 5 – 10 cu.m./hr. The Unit has been designed to occupy a smaller footprint than its first generation 1.5cu.m/hr pilot system, and is seen as a significant step in the development of the Company’s product range to handle larger flowrates across both industrial and municipal sectors.
N Foster, Technical Director commented that ‘ We will be continuing the engineering scale-up of our product range to handle larger industrial and municipal waste water flowrates as well as continuing with our technical development plans.’
Managing Director, Irene Allcroft commented that ‘ this is another major milestone achievement by the company, following on from the success of our patented technology in real-world field trials with industrial clients , where we have proven our system can destroy organics in wastewater as well as disinfection of the water for recycling or reuse within industrial applications’.
From experience of undertaking trials with clients the Company sees its initial product as having wide utility across the industrial sector, specifically where industrial companies may be looking to reduce their annual OPEX by reducing or eliminating the need for tankering effluent offsite for treatment, and following their sustainability agenda by recycling water onsite.
The Company, one of the first tenants of the Innovation Accelerator at Wilton, has benefitted from the wealth of experience available to Accelerator tenants through CPI and other industrial wastewater handling expertise in the NE region. The Company used the services of a number of local companies in the manufacture of its first commercial systems.
7th June 2011 – CatalySystems receives first order from industrial client in NE England area. Under an NDA, CatalySystems will commence testing of its photocatalytic reactor with a major corporate in the petrochemical sector.
5th May 2011 – CatalySystems completes relocation to new purpose-built facilities.
Today, as part of its future growth plans, CatalySystems completed its relocation into a new purpose built facility at The Wilton Centre site in Cleveland, UK. Irene Allcroft, Managing Director commented ‘ we have been interested in moving to the facilities at Wilton since mid-2010, after undertaking a review of suitable future operational bases across the UK. The opening of the Innovation Accelerator Building at Wilton, gives us access to a range of resources and facilities well suited to our development plans’.
1st March 2011 – CatalySystems receives investment from NE PoC fund managed by NorthStar Ventures.
The investment will allow the Company to commence the engineering design works on its new product range of photocatalytic reactors for industrial waste water treatment. The new product range is aimed at reducing OPEX costs for industrial users.
